Printing the Draft TOA from Best Authority® in a WorkSite Environment
As part of its printing-related feature set, Best Authority provides the capability to print either the entire document or the Scan Range containing highlighted citations and/or the Draft Table of Authorities.
However, only the entire document can be printed from a WorkSite client platform because of the way WorkSite intercepts the printing capability within Word. In this environment, if you select to print either the Scan Range or the Draft Table of Authorities, Word will instead print out the entire document.
The WorkSite/Word integration can be easily modified to change this behavior. There is an iManage TechNote article (iTN #22001-310, "How to customize printing options using the Custom Print macro") that explains how the print integration is handled. It is available from the WorkSite support site at: http://worksitesupport.interwoven.com
There is also a CustPrint.dot available which demonstrates how you may disable the WorkSite/Word print integration to properly enable the printing functionality in Best Authority.
IMPORTANT: To make use of the CustPrint.dot in Word 2007, you would need to change the WorkSite COMAddin name from "iManO2K.AddinForWord2000" to "oUTR02K.Connect".
