New Version of Table of Authorities Production Software
Certified to Support Windows 7 and Process at Greater Speed
November 17, 2009 – Leesburg, VA. Legal technology company Levit & James (www.levitjames.com) has announced the release of Best Authority 2.6, the latest version of its leading Table of Authorities (TOA) production software. Levit & James has certified that Best Authority 2.6 supports Microsoft Windows 7. The new release also incorporates major performance enhancements that will significantly increase TOA processing speed throughout the application.
Additional new features and improvements in Best Authority 2.6 include:
- New TOA “Options” to classify citations based on text matching criteria. For example, you can automatically assign citations to a specific TOA group such as “Supreme Court Cases”, “EPA Cases”, or “FERC Cases”.
- Option to apply Passim text to short citations only, which is required in certain jurisdictions.
- Additional scan option indicating whether semicolons should be used to separate parallel citations. Previously available only for Michigan, Best Authority 2.6 now makes it available for all jurisdictions.
